Operational support & troubleshooting

  • Perform unplanned/reactive electrical, mechanical repairs
  • Ensure proper knowledge and utilization of WiTool
  • Non-technical support for equipment operators
  • System performance monitoring and operational status awareness
  • Diagnosis of general electrical and mechanical faults
  • Ensure proper utilization of tools and spare parts

Planned Maintenance

  • Perform planned electrical and mechanical maintenance work orders as per company policies and procedures
  • Execution and documentation of maintenance activities
  • Exchange and set up of electrical/mechanical parts
  • Perform the required cleaning of equipment
  • Adherence and implementation of 5S principles
  • Accountable for the audit results, individual EM efficiency and downtime minimization

Position Overview

Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the Maintenance Planner is responsible for

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for setting goals, delegating tasks, and setting deadlines for the team
  • Monitor team performance and report on metrics
  • Collaborate with the Continuous Improvement Specialist to determine training needs for the team and plan and schedule accordingly
  • Provide leadership to the maintenance team including support, coaching and continuous feedback and recognition
  • Determine and create maintenance schedules for all plant equipment and maintenance activities
  • Organize and provide information for maintenance work required including drawings and procedures for completion
  • Maintain and create work orders including the shift schedule, work order closing, part assignments, open work orders and memos, validating all work order and memo details
  • Prioritize work and coordinate with production to make efficient use of available time, adjusting schedules accordingly
  • Assist in developing reliability strategy while focusing on downtime reduction
  • Support floor activities when required, including functional automation technician duties
  • Together with Spare Parts Coordinator, order and keep spare parts for various machines
  • Determine the tools and supplies needed for each different type of machine maintenance
  • Responsible for creating maintenance and training manuals
  • Estimate costs of labor and parts for industrial equipment
  • In the absence of the Spare Parts Coordinator, provide assistance
  • Compliance with all safety regulations of assigned tasks, and ensure a clean and safe working environment with active participation in the health and safety program
  • Other duties as assigned Qualifications
  • Relevant electrical and/or mechanical qualification with preference in electromechanical
  • Minimum post-secondary training in a trade school
  • In-depth knowledge of equipment, production, and preventative maintenance
  • Ability to assess a situation, take initiative, be proactive and solution focused
  • Proficient use of various computer programs (MS Office and relevant maintenance systems)
  • Familiarity with wiring diagrams, symbols and electrical measuring; electrical/mechanical drive technology (motors and gears); and, control technology (controls/inverter)
  • Strong mechanical maintenance and repair skills
