Team building in Warrington
–a successful day full of competition, fun and team spirit
Our project in Warrington is growing steadily, and so is our team. To celebrate this development in a fitting manner and to further strengthen cooperation, a team event was organized to bring all members together. The reason for this special team building event was not only to promote team spirit, but also to integrate #witronPOWER into the ever-growing group before we move on to the next, more operational phase of the project. It is important to us that all departments and shifts work together in harmony.
A day full of fun and competitive spirit
To create a certain dynamic and give the whole thing a competitive character, the event was moved to the race track. Ambition was aroused and an internal “competition” developed in which the EM technicians and CR employees set themselves the goal of beating the management team. However, although they put up a brave fight, they didn't quite manage to achieve their goal in the end, as third and fourth place were taken by the project and site managers.
Despite the sporting rivalry, the focus was on having fun and spending time together. Everyone was able to make new contacts and many colleagues who previously had little to do with each other got talking. The day on the race track provided the perfect opportunity to get to know each other better and break the ice - which is invaluable, especially in a growing team.
A cozy finale in Warrington
After the intense racing fun and a lot of good humor, the team made their way back to Warrington together to end the day with refreshing drinks and a delicious dinner. The choice fell on an Italian restaurant recommended by some of our local colleagues - and it didn't disappoint! The food was excellent and the conversations between team members that had started throughout the day continued to deepen over dinner.
While the managers said their goodbyes late at night, many of the team continued to party into the early hours of the morning. The new friendships made that day had strengthened over the course of the evening, and the conversations continued late into the night.
Conclusion: A successful day for the entire team
All in all, the team-building event was a complete success. The day showed how important it is to promote team spirit and create an environment in which everyone feels welcome and valued. With a stronger team and #witronPOWER behind us, we are optimistic about the challenges ahead and ready to successfully tackle the next chapter of our project in Warrington.
